Mindfulness for Brain Health

Dorsey Standish is Chief Operations Officer of Mastermind Meditation,

a Dallas-based company committed to sharing mindful meditation for brain health. Mastermind presents mindfulness classes, seminars, and workshops at corporations, non-profits, and event venues throughout the DFW community.

Most recently, Dorsey has coordinated Mastermind’s efforts to bring mindful meditation to the staff of Genesis Women’s Shelter, to parents at Spanish House Elementary, and even to patrons of the Dallas Zoo.

Dorsey’s signature mindfulness presentations include Mindfulness for Stress Reduction, Cultivating a Mindful Attitude, Mindful Gratitude, and Mindfulness for Beginners. In addition to speaking about and teaching mindful meditation, Dorsey leads weekend yoga and mindfulness retreats at Retreat in the Pines in East Texas. She also offers Self-Compassion Workshops for Women throughout the Dallas community.

Dorsey has nearly ten years of experience practicing and teaching mindfulness.

In addition to studying with Jon Kabat Zinn and S. N. Goenka, Dorsey is certified in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and has completed 4- and 10-day silent meditation retreats. To deepen her understanding of mindfulness for brain health, Dorsey is in the process of earning an MS in Applied Cognition & Neuroscience from the University of Texas at Dallas.

Prior to joining Mastermind Meditation, Dorsey worked for five years as a Mechanical Design Engineer and Program Manager at Texas Instruments. Dorsey credits her own mindful health transformation with her decision to pursue a career in the wellness industry.

Dorsey holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
